In this article, we will cover all the data we need to add staff to your Turf Assistant account

Here is a sample Excel file for you to use if you do not already have your users in a spreadsheet.

Download sample file

We will need the following fields to add staff:

First name
Last name
Position
Hire Date (not required)
Job Type

  • Full Time
  • Part-Time
  • Temporary

Pay Rate

  • $ per hour

Payroll Benefits (optional)

  • Payroll benefits are the overhead you pay to your full-time staff.  While not required it provides a more accurate reflection of where your payroll dollars are being spent.  The overhead includes things like benefits that the company pays on your staff's behalf.
  • Enter 1.x for multiplier
  • For example: if your benefits overhead is 25% then this number will be 1.25


Timeclock Code

  • The four-digit code your staff member will use to clock into Turf Assistant.
  • This could be the last 4 digits of their social or something similar


Sprayer License

  • If your staff member has a sprayer license then include it so it will be included in your spray records

Assign Tasks

  • Schedule Assistant - this staff member will be available to assign agronomic tasks to
  • Equipment Assistant - this staff member will be available to assign equipment maintenance tasks to
  • Both - this staff member will be assigned both agronomic and equipment maintenance tasks
